2022-06-18: My wife was having trouble with the front and rear windshield wipers of her 2008 Chevy Trailblazer... Neither would spray windshield washer fluid. Simple! Fill up the tank...except it was filled.
And here begins a very long story of troubleshooting... and replacing parts... and more troubleshooting... without wiring diagrams... and replacing more parts...And getting no where.
Which lead me to asking my local garage to print out the electrical wiring diagrams for the windshield wiper system. I leave them here for the next frustrated person to find, since I couldn't find them online.
Oh, you wanted to know what I found out after replacing the washer pump, hunting all over the engine bay for a non-existant tank level switch, replacing the wiper motor assembly, relays and fuses and testing the drivers' control switch? for the Front it was a broken wire trace inside the engine fusebox... The wire was broken between the fuse and the relay coil. Should I mention the used eBay fusebox I bought that had an intermittent short on the starter relay circuit? You could shut the vehicle off and the starter would kick in and not stop until the anti-theft circuit kicked in... Finding that took less time than the original problem. Finding a brand new fusebox? That took a while. (Thanks Bedford Brothers Chevrolet!) The back wiper sprayer isn't working yet... I gave up after working on the front. Oh, right. The fusebox... You'd like to see that as well? This is the one with the starter short (i cleared the short after I opened it - there was a small ants nest inside).
Rather beautiful in my opinion. I wonder how these get made? Ah well, I can't always satisfy my curiosity. As always, feel free to right click to look at the full size images.
